As PD care continues to evolve, so do the digital tools designed to support patients and clinicians. From simplifying daily routines to strengthening clinical insights, our latest updates to MyPD and Sharesource reflect our ongoing commitment to innovating with purpose - making life a little easier for everyone involved in PD therapy.
MyPD: enhancing the patient experience
At the heart of this update are enhancements to MyPD, our digital companion for PD patients — because meaningful change often starts with making everyday tasks simpler and more intuitive.
Smarter vitals entry for APD patients
To better align with real-world routines, MyPD will now support vitals entry in the morning, making it easier and more natural for patients to record the measurements they take at the end of therapy. This ensures clinicians receive more accurate and consistent data while reducing the burden on patients.
Expanded range of vitals
We have also broadened the range of information patients can record. APD patients will now have available the same range of vitals options in MyPD as CAPD patients. The vitals options now include:
- Blood pressure
- Weight
- Glucose
- Temperature
- Pulse
- Scheduled urine collections
These new vitals provide a richer picture of a patient’s day-to-day health and help clinicians track trends more effectively.
More powerful photo features
Because a picture — and the context behind it — can be invaluable in PD care, the MyPD photo feature will now enable:
- Patients to add notes to the photos they upload, giving clinicians helpful context
- Patients to view their historical photos and notes, creating a clearer record of changes over time
- Clinicians to mark photos as reviewed, so patients can see when their care team has reviewed their photos
This two-way visibility strengthens communication and helps patients feel more connected and supported between visits.
Sharesource: supporting clinicians with clearer insights
In parallel with the improvements to MyPD, we're strengthening Sharesource with new features that offer clinicians richer, more complete information to support confident decision-making.
New CAPD reports
Two new reports will be available for CAPD patients:
- Patient Treatment History
- Prescribed vs Actual Therapy
These reports offer clinicians a more comprehensive view of treatment patterns, supporting more informed and timely interventions.
New clinical flags for faster visibility
To help care teams quickly identify when a patient may need attention, two new flags will be available in Sharesource:
- Blood pressure outside the patient-specific range
- Weight outside the patient-specific range
These simple yet powerful flags make it easier for clinicians to stay ahead of potential issues and prioritise follow-up when needed.
A Continued Commitment to Innovation
Together, these enhancements represent our ongoing dedication to improving the PD experience with tools that are more intuitive, more connected, and promote better patient outcomes. By listening closely to clinicians and patients, we’re continuing to shape digital solutions that truly work for those who rely on them.
