SoftPac Citrate SelectBag Citrate

SoftPac Citrate and SelectBag Citrate Concentrates

SoftPac and SelectBag citrate concentrates are designed to meet dialysis patients' specialised needs

Improved haemodynamic stability – Citrate-containing fluids may offer a greater haemodynamic stability with significantly fewer episodes of arterial hypotension.1

Improved control of acid-base balance – Dialysis with citrate achieves a better control of post-dialysis acid-base balance by decreasing / avoiding post-alkalemia compared to acetate.1

Decreased thrombogenicity – Citrate has a local anticoagulant effect inside the dialyser allowing reduced heparin dosing while maintaining extracorporeal patency2 and optimising dialyser clearances.3-5

Reduction of inflammatory indicators – Citrate concentrate has been shown to reduce inflammation markers such as pentraxin-3,CRPand IL6.4 In vitro studies show that citrate is a promising substitute for acetate for a more biocompatible dialysis, most likely resulting in less adverse effects for the patients.6

Citrate dialysis fluid

The Vantive SoftPac citrate and SelectBag citrate concentrates allow for acetate-free dialysis fluids, which may help to promote patient well-being with all the beneficial properties of citrate.*7

SelectBag citrate concentrate

SelectBag citrate concentrate is an acetate-free concentrate with all the beneficial properties of citrate. With the BiCart Select citrate system, it is easy to optimise the dialysis fluid composition. Sodium and bicarbonate levels are accurately controlled to the provider's settings, while the SelectBag citrate concentrate allows providers to easily vary potassium, calcium and glucose.

SoftPac citrate concentrate

SoftPac citrate concentrate is an acetate-free concentrate with all the beneficial properties of citrate. PVC-free SoftPac citrate concentrate is available in two sizes: a 3.5 L bag and a 5 L bag.
